Cindy Shillinger
Cindy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn State and her Master’s Degree in Program Administration from Mt. Vernon College. Cindy has worked in the field of early childhood for over 30 years, having taught at some wonderful programs in Boston and Washington, DC. Cindy has worn many hats at Playschool through the many years that she’s been here (including four years as our Director), but she says teaching is by far the most rewarding!
Cindy lives in Kimberton with her husband, Mike and their three girls who are all Playschool graduates. When not at Playschool, Cindy volunteers with the high school and is involved in her church’s bell choir and Sunday School program. She also serves on Zion Lutheran Preschool's Board of Directors. She loves to bake and follow the Philadelphia Union soccer team. Charlestown Playhouse has a special place in her heart and her hope is that it will hold a special place in your hearts as well.

Ashton Onisick
Ashton holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Prek-4 Teacher's Certificate from West Chester Univeristy. Her former experience as a 3rd and 4th grade teacher, Tinkergarten leader, and classroom helper have all prepared her for her role at Playschool fostering a playful and inclusive environment for children to grow.
Ashton and her husband have three kids (one still at Playschool) and 2 Akita dogs that love to play like kids. She enjoys cooking, cake decorating, and any activity that keeps her playing outside!
