Gala Celebration May 21st, 5-11pm
Playschool is proud to be Celebrating 85 years of Play!
Join us under our beloved Oak tree as we celebrate Playschool and each other!
This is a time to gather with friends, enjoy a spring evening in the play yard, and renew our commitment to the vision of Playschool.
There will be friends, photos & food, music and merriment! While it's a "gala" because it's the 85th anniversary, there is certainly no dress code or fancy expectations. This is a Playschool party in the play yard! All are welcome.
If you know of someone who would like to attend but may need assistance, please email Laura Sacco at: Charlestown.playhouse@verizon.net

Playschool Song Parade with Michael Bacon
Sunday, May 22 at 10:30 am
Walking along the road one day....
Sunday, May 22 will be the day to walk along the road, with Michael, to sing our favorite song!
At 10:30 we will gather in the meadow of the old camp to create festive banners depicting the characters of the song. At approximately 11:00 we will start the parade up the road to Playschool, with a stop along the way at the "big white barn". The walk is almost a mile, but you can still join us at the beginning, or at the picnic at Playschool at the end, even if you cannot walk with us. Children and strollers welcome.
Parade beginning and parking location: 1779 Pickering Rd., Phoenixville PA 19460. (Old Charlestown Day Camp, intersection of Lincoln & Pickering Rds.)
Get in the mood by listening to the Playschool Song on Amazon Music or Apple Music, or purchasing our songbook!
Reunion Picnic to Remember the Founding Generation
Sunday, May 22 at Noon
Come back to the Playschool yard on Sunday to visit with friends again. The Song Parade will end at Playschool where we will gather to sing again, picnic and play! The Maypole will be up, and the snowcone machine will be going!
This is a great time for children to come and play in the yard (though they do need to be supervised).
We will also remember and honor the founding generation of Playschool, many of whom have passed away recently, including Jean Lacy, Joan Hasselquist, Paul Hogan, Tina French-Miller, Jack Strogus, Mary Ludwick, Polly Wood-Jenkins, Kenneth and Mary Rhoad, and others.
BYO Picnic and picnic blanket. We will also have some extra refreshments to share, and plenty of chairs and tables for those wishing to be seated.
